    Re: *TTC Terms & Abbreviations*

    Hi ladies

Mind if I ask a question? Does it matter if we use these abbreviations or not? Like, is there a reason, for sensitivity or something? Or just ease of typing and to save embrarrassment?

I'm asking because I don't like using abbreviations in normal life, and doubt I will when I post on here in the coming weeks and months.
I have never called a period an 'Aunt Flo' in my whole life, and am unlikely to start now... reminds me of being at school when it was called getting your 'Henry,' LOL!

But of course I don't want to offend anyone and make myself unpopular on the Forum. J
ust curious about this, I can type in normal language can I? Any views?
    Thanks ladies

There isn't a rule as such! It's just easier and quicker for most people to abbreviate :-D

I don't ever call a period AF either, but I type things I wouldn't normally say. I wouldn't usually say LOL for example

Evap is an evaporation line on a pregnancy test - it shows up where the line would be if the test was positive, but it's not a BFP. I think they're usually grey instead of pink/blue, and often show up on a dud test or after the designated time.

My question: what is CH? I know it's something to do with ovulation and/or charting, but can't figure it out! I feel really stupid about it too, because people keep using it on the charting thread

Ah yes, that makes sense. I didn't want to ask over on the charting thread because obviously there's more important stuff going on over there. Thanks, Lndgrrl!

POABS?? Is the B for emphasis (like 'pee on a blooming stick') or does it mean something special?
