    Mat allowance and tax credits

I think when I had maternity allowance in 2013/14 it was classes as no income the guy on the phone today said to take off so much a week but my p60 doesn't include maternity allowance so is he meaning smp as I didn't get that?

If you got mat pay you take 100 per week off for the number of weeks you got paid mat pay in that particular year. So say you got 33 weeks mat pay you'd take 3300 off your earnings.

You deduct with SMP not with mat allowance, mat allowance shouldn't count at all unless it's really recently changed!
