I don't know if you saw the articles in the daily fail and telegraph about leaving babies to cry themselves to sleep? I read an article yesterday that takes a proper look at the actual research paper http://www.analyticalarmadillo.co.uk...es-to-cry.html

Basically our babies and their nocturnal awakenings are perfectly normal for bf babies and are acting the way nature intended.

I've got a good sleeper (for now) I no things change. He has a feed about 9pm then that's him done till 6am no wakes at all! Fingers crossed that's how he likes it, although he doesn't nap for very long during the day instead he does 10 min cat naps. My twins were terrible sleepers waking 5+ times each and never at the same time!

I'm always hungry. It's making dieting really hard work.

We had another fantastic night. He went 7 hours. So 9, 8 then 7 hours over the last 3 nights. So slowly getting shorter, and i'm not counting on it lasting long, but i feel so refreshed. It took 2.5 years to get like this with Angel. She was awful at sleep.

hb i followed like ALL the links off what you posted!

I'm always hungry!! tho i do notice i don't eat 'enough' a lot of the time, i have a huge bowl of porridge with a banana on it and sultanas but often i forget proper meals and end up with a bit of toast not good!! I feed on demand - if its good enough for baby it's good enough for me. Tho saying that, i don't want to double my body weight in 12 weeks...

I really struggled with my weight when I was BFing DD and only was able to lose once I stopped. I've been more proactive this time in making sure I give myself larger portions of good food so I'm not peckish all the time, and trying to snack on healthy foods when I do get hungrier or he goes through a growth spurt. It's a hard balance! But I don't feel constantly hungry anymore.

Well I think he's having a growth spurt. Feeding every 45 minutes, pulling on and off, getting angry.
Perhaps this will grow him out of his colic though. I remain optimistic.

I'm alway hungry too! Dont think Ive ever ate so much as I am at the moment. I want to start weight watchers but thinking theres no point while Im unable to stop eatting!

Its nice to hear other people have got babys who dont want to sleep! Sadie was doing really well sleeping 3-4 hours at night until the last 4 days were justs up every hour or 2.

Does anyone else have to switch boobs through a feed? Every since shes started feeding every hour or 2 Im finding I have to switch boobs as shes draining both of them.

What about slimming world then? You're not restricted on portion size as long as you're eating the right things.
