Sorry you are having sleep trouble roux, one thing after another with these littlies isn't it! Isaac is quite poorly with a chest infection and conjunctivitis so is doses up with calpol but I suspect we have more teeth on the way too.

Don't know if any of you have had a chance to read my 'exam or funeral' thread but I would appreciate your opinions, having babies the same age on wether you would let your OH take your LO away for 2 nights without you?

Well it looks like I have mastitis!

Sucks but tbh I think I've been lucky to get through 9 months bfing so far with very few issues!

I wouldn't be able to be away from Hope that long yet tbh! A few hours is long enough. I couldn't express enough for 2 days and nights either.

Hope was up for 2 hours in the night last night but had fab naps today!

We went swimming today Hope loved it! We stayed in for 45 mins mf she did 3 under water swims lol

Mastisis doesn't seem like something you get so late into bf does it! Hope you're OK anyway - have you got anything to take for it or do you just have to feed through it?

I don't know what I would do in your situation Lou - I'd say that your exam was more important than the funeral but I don't know whether I would be happy having Verity away from me for 2 days, especially as she doesn't spend as much time with her Daddy as with me because he's at work all day, never mind the feeding issue. Does Isaac have to go? Are your parents nearby so they could take care of him and then perhaps arrange a visit as a weekend away at a later date to see the relatives up north?

Think I am going to sit in bed now and read my Kindle. I didn't get a good nights sleep with Madam last night. We were doing so well as well! She was going down beautifully and was sleeping through till 5.30ish! Grr! I have the VAT return to do by the 24th May so I have lots of stuff to input into the VAT program, Sage, but I need to be fully alert doing it and as madam took so long going to sleep I wouldnt be able to concentrate as much.

    Hello all!! Hope everyone's ok.
Look what my little monkey can now do!

Clever clogs lol think I will have to drop the cot lol. We've also got 6 teeth!!! Top 4 all came through in a space of a week. I'm starting to think that's why Millie has been so poorly bless her.
    Xxx

Just seen it Facebook clever girl! It's so cute to see them peeping over! Hope used the foot plate of the cot luckily if she had used the side she would have gone straight over!

She measures 98th centile for height Thursday! And her head is 98th lol! Weight is still 25th.

She's started to play peek a boo today with anything she can get her hands on then when she pulls it off she goes AAHH lol I think that's her boo

    And

She's sitting up no problem now so :P to the nasty hv

I need to lower verity's bed too as she can pull herself up too.
Well after the nightmare of her going to sleep lady night she slept through till 5.30 then had some milk and went back to sleep until 7.
We have been to the House of Marbles today and then to the park.

    Sleepy babies

Verity gets into a position to crawl but she can't work out what to do with one of her legs from a sitting position. She's currently screaming again.... I don't know why the regression in going to bed!

I think there is a nine month sleep regression? We seem to have avoided so far, but maybe I just can't tell cause she always takes ages to go to bed.

Loubag - hope Issac feels better soon. I agree with the others, I think the exam is more important and I don't think I could be away from O for that long, but he won't take a bottle so feeding would be a huge issue even if I expressed enough.

Raina - Clever Millie & wow what a lot of teeth - we've just lowered O's cot this evening because he's already pulling up on to his knees and is trying so hard to pull him self up to standing.

SC - hope the mastitis clears up quickly - what a shame after 9 months with no problems

m2bs - sounds like Hope's doing really well, and the peek a boo sounds really cute. Yay for sitting properly. I think sometimes they like to make us out to be liars, O does it to me all the time, I say he can do something and he'll then refuse to do it in front of other people or vice versa!

loving the pictures Roux, especially the sleepy one just adorable We're having problems with sleeping here too - O was up every hour last night I'm knackered. He goes down fine to start with but once he wakes up the first time he'll scream every time I try to put him down or he'll wait til I'm just getting into bed before he starts screaming. He used to be really good, he slept better than this as a newborn!!!

I finally got round to making finger paints for O yesterday. We had a try with some painting O seemed to love it and didn't even really try to eat very much. Just need to add more food colouring to them to make the colours more vivid on the paper.

    Morning all!

Well funeral is at 4pm on friday so thankfuly it looks like I can do my exam then go up and I have managed to talk OH round that taking the boy on wednesday is not a good idea! part of me wants to say go for it as he would struggle but then so would I!
We are not really getting on at the moment. Normal new parent stuff I would say, nothing serious he is just getting on my nerves and I am not hiding it very well!
Isaac is feeling a bit better but now we both have it and apparenty it is a competition to see who feels the worst. Why can men not just suck it up, take some paracetomol and get on with it? It s like he likes feeling bad. Why would you not take pain killers and feel better. I really need his help as I am supposed to be revision for this exam but so far I have got up early he is still in bed (obviously because he is dying)grrr men.

Hope your mastitis is clearing up SCG. I still get blocked ducts every few weeks but am a dab hand at gettign rid of them now so havent had actual mastits for months. I just wish I could work out how to stop them coming in the first place.

Looks like our babies are all on there way to being mobile, scary stuff! Isaac is getting pretty good at crawling backwards and has started pulling up on his knees.

Finger paints sound like fun Kookie. Not sure I am brave enough for that much mess though! may leave that till we can do it outside!

Talking of mess, now that Little chap is scooting around I am feeling very slovenly about my housework! I just cannot keep up with the cleaning whie working/sstudying and looking after him a horse and a dog! bloody endless! poor thing is constantly covered in clumps of fluff. Bad mummy

    Hi all,

Glad you managed to sort things out so you can do both. Sorry to hear you're struggling with your OH, hopefully he'll finish 'dying' soon so he can help you out!

Oliver is very mobile now, he's crawling all over the place although he doesn't like going through doorways onto different floor types. He's discovered that if he pulls the handle down on his trolley that blocks fly everywhere, which he finds hilarious

Here he is earlier when he was meant to be having his nap!

Sleep is not going well I read on the wonder weeks app that this leap and sleep regression can last up to 6 weeks I really hope not!

Hope everyone else is doing well x
