My next door neighbour is 40 and expecting number 2 and we have another friend who is 44 and due in July so big up to the triple f's!!

My neighbour said she has not had any special/ different treatment because of her age.

I have booked an early scan privately. Not sure why really just because it will be good to see :-)

    I'm loving this thread

I've spoken to most of you before so far but for everyone else, I'm Lucy, aged 28 (yeah, okay, add 10 years ) and I'm a mum of 3 girls. I was diagnosed with a very likely blocked left fallopian tube last summer after ttc unsuccessfully for a year I conceived after the HyCoSy (procedure to check my tubes) but unfortunately lost my bean at 10 weeks

6 months down the line I was a week away from having a Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy when I discovered I was pregnant again - I'm now 9 weeks and extremely nervous - I'm hoping this is going to be my take home 4th baba

Great to see so many other fogies I was looking at a thread elsewhere on the forum with members pictures and I came away feeling very old indeed!!! My lovely dark hair is getting a few grey streaks now - I'm missing my hair dye!!!

Definitely not just a thread for TTCers just for all of us to get together around all issues baby related. Just didn't know where to put it.
I wanted it to be easily found by anyone a bit older seeking solace/ reassurance

Lucy. I am having my roots done Saturday before the sickness sets in!!!- just need to schedule my Botox and fillers!!!! Xx

Deejay, good luck with your roots I've got an annoying grey patch at the front and usually I just use a bit of dark brown dye to blend it in (it works a treat) - was wondering whether I should just go ahead and do it because it's only a small patch (and the Henna doesn't do my grey much justice).

I'd go ahead lucymum, I died my hair throughout and the only concession I made was to have it done in a salon rather than DIY.. I used to do it in the bath you see, so I got worried about splashes ending up where they shouldn't.....

HTPR - I don't wear make up either, neither do I have any piercings (apart from my ears) so I am VERY unlikely to be ID-ed any time soon....

Okay I don't mind a bit of makeup when I go out (which is extremely rare these days) but I draw the line there - I do not do piercings (other than in my ears)

Maybe I will just have to resign myself to never having the luxoury of being ID'd again
