    List of common abbreviations

    It's quite common to use abbreviations and so here is a list which might come in useful for you to use here:

    18+3 = 18 weeks and 3 days pregnant (for example)

    7DPO = 7 days past ovulation (for example)

    2WW = The "2 week wait" before you can take a pregnancy test.

    AF = Aunt Flo re: a menstrual period

    BFN = Big Fat Negative re: a pregnancy test
    BFP = Big Fat Positive re: a pregnancy test
    BIL = Brother-in-Law
    BTW - By the way

    CD8 = Cycle Day 8, being 8 days since the day of your last menstrual period (for example)
    CM = Cervical Mucus
    DD = Darling Daughter
    DH = Darling Husband
    DS = Darling Son

    DTD = Doing The Deed re: sex

    EDD = Estimated Due Date
    EWCM = Egg White Cervical Mucus, being an indication that you have or are about to ovulate

    FIL = Father-in-Law

    FFH = Fortnight From Hell, being the 2 week period between ovulation and your period when TTC

    HTH = Hope This Helps

    IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation
    IYKWIM - If you know what I mean
    IIRC - If I remember correctly
    IMO - In my opinion

    LMP = Last Menstrual Period
    LOL = Lots of Laughs/Laughing Out Loud/Lots of Love
    MIL = Mother-in-Law
    MS = Morning Sickness

    MW = Midwife
    O = Ovulating/Ovulation
    OH = Other Half re: your partner
    OPK - Ovulation Predictor Kit

    PG = Pregnant
    PMT = Pre-Menstrual Tension
    POAS = pee on a stick (to take a pregnancy test)
    PT = Pregnancy Test

    SIL = Sister-in-Law

    TBH - To be honest
    TMI = Too Much Information !!
    TTC = Trying To Conceive

    WTF - What the feck

    A few more, slightly more midwifery related but good for looking up funny abbrevations that midwives and drs write in your notes!
